Short or Long Prom Dress What Would You Choose?

Purple Prom Dress

It’s been a really cold winter this year and in New York we have had almost 60 inches of snow.  The good news is Spring is coming and that means Prom season in April and May.  So I was just thinking maybe it’s time to show off some skin and wear a short prom dress.  Here are some pictures I found.  Let me know if you think these are cute.

Aqua Prom Dress

Short Aqua Dress with a flowing skirt

I love the turquoise color of this dress and the cinched, beaded waist.  It doesn’t look too sheer either.  It has nice coverage and the hem is flirty and ruffled.  Do you prefer to have a strapless look?

Blue Flowered Prom Dress

This dress I think is over the top with the giant bow and the big, wide umbrella bottom.  It wouldn’t be very flattering.

Kate Middleton Dress at Jen Jen House

I found this classic, royal blue Kate Middleton style dress at JenJenHouse.  It’s not overstated. You could actually wear this frock for other special events too.

A lot of girls do want to wear a longer dress since the prom is a more formal occasion.  If you are going in a limousine, it can be fun to get really glamorous as if you were going to the Oscars.  They are coming up this week and I was thinking it would be a good idea to see what the stars are wearing and maybe get a few ideas of what is really hot and trendy.  I’d especially take a look at  what some of the younger actresses are wearing.

I also found this red dress at JenJenHouse. It really makes a statement.  A hot red dress makes you feel like you’re on the red carpet.

Red Prom Dress

I couldn’t believe this was under $150.00 on sale.  Some boutique dresses can be upwards of $500.00.  March is a good time to shop for prom dresses.  You don’t want to wait until the last minute and be left with the dresses nobody else wanted.
